Formation Bio is transforming the landscape of drug development. Formation Bio, formerly known as TrialSpark, is a tech-enabled platform to accelerate all aspects of drug development and clinical trials.

Their platform allows for a more efficient trial design, faster trial completion, and higher quality trial data capture. Partnering with biotech and pharmaceutical companies and their drug developments, Formation Bio develops programs to reach past clinical proof of concept and beyond.

About the Founders

After years of research and observing the disappointing outcomes across novel compounds, Ben Liu, CEO, and Linhao Zhang, CTO, started Formation with a clear vision on where the bottleneck was in the pharma lifecycle.

Prior to Formation Bio, Ben earned a DPhil at Oxford, where his research leveraged AI and big-data for Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease.

Linhao is an expert in the product space from his experience leading product at Salesforce and Oscar Health.
